"Me, myself, I, and It"

Films: Split (2016), Glass (2019)

Alias: Various, notably the Horde (Patricia, Hedwig, Barry, Dennis, among others)

Type: Natural (or Mystical)

Location: Haunted Home/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Some people seem to really like talking to themselves. And others feel like they are never the same person at any given moment. In this case, Kevin is at least 23 people all at once. And then there's the 24th guy, the one no one wants to see, not even him...

History: Kevin Wendell Crumb lost his mind over the course of his abusive childhood, with a mom who would verbally and physically assault him all the time since his father died. The trauma ended up giving him at least two dozen distinct personalities so different from one another, you could argue they were different people. From uptight Dennis to childish Hedwig, it made him a very unpredictable man. And worse, he liked to kidnap young women in order to satiate the 24th personality. That is, a primal and almost supernatural being known as the Beast. A few of his personalities fear it, others worship it. Either way, it cannot be stopped.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The actions of Kevin ultimately got the attention of both the superpowered human hero David Dunn and the villainous Mr. Glass, the latter of which formed an alliance with him. But sadly, all three are killed by an out-of-nowhere anti-super conspiracy group that manages to shoot Kevin dead after a moment of weakness. At least he got to die as himself.

Powers/Abilities: As the Beast, Kevin acts a lot like the animals in the zoo he works at, with abilities such as big cat-like strength and even wall-crawling like a spider. He is also incredibly durable.

Weakness: Saying his full name will send him into trauma-induced shock, leaving him wide open. Also, if you have your own share of trauma, he will spare you for being "worthy".

Scariness Factor: 3.5-The fact that he's a whole crowd of unpredictable personas is bad enough, but once the Beast comes out, no one is safe. This roided-out hunk can rip you to pieces if he wanted to, and outrunning him is a fool's errand. His weaknesses almost make up for the doom, though, and deep inside, Kevin is just a very broken man.

Trivia: -Kevin has a severe case of Dissociative Identity Disorder, which is said to be brought about usually by intense trauma or even faulty therapy strategies. Either way, is a rather unsettling form of schizophrenia.

-The big twist of the first film was that it was connected to "Unbreakable", one of Shyamalan's last good films. Unfortunately, "Glass" fell flat mainly due to that frankly horrible twist ending that made all three main characters' plotlines a sordid waste.
